An emerging growth company is an expanding, growing company. There are several measures by which a company may be put into a “growth” category; e.g., revenues, sales, profit margin, etc. We rely on Fortune 500 announcements, S&P 500 indicators and private assessment firms to identify and publish companies that analysts consider in the “growth mode”.The astute job seeker should identify companies in the growth mode and select those that can utilize his or her talents and support the salary requirements. The appropriate decision-maker should be targeted with the proper correspondence and followup is imperative.
EMERGING INDUSTRIES
Two perfect examples of emerging industries are wireless telecommunications and computers. Ten years ago, there was slight mention of an industry involved in the basic component of computer; the semiconductor. First came the computer, then components of the computer, then wireless communications using the computer.
The astute job seeker should identify emerging industries and select those that will offer increased opportunities for professional growth. Possessing the knowledge and the vision to identify emerging industries are important parts of managing your career. See your Consultant for details.
